Week 1 & 2

The pain starts again!

And again.....no pain no gain...

Row and Row and Row

So tired!!!

Legs workout - most torturous

If you are guessing why it has been almost 2 weeks since my last update, you are right if you think that it has been a hectic week to start off for me - adjusting my diet, pushing myself harder for the training, experimenting various ways of acheiving results since this is the first time I have surpassed 80kg in my life, amidst other miscellaneous errands and activities. I work out for an hour every day except Sunday. This is my chosen "off" day but sometimes I may have to swap it with a week day. No matter what I will make it point to save a day to replenish my energy. There is no hard and fast rule on how to attain the best results. Every bodybuilder will eventually discover a befitting regime.

Some noticeable changes....

Slightly toned...

I have lost 2.5kg since I began my transformation. I am starting to lose my buldging belly as you can see in the photographs above. The visible improvement gives me the motivation to press on as I continue to whack myself and resist the temptation to take in gravy-laden food. Fourteen more weeks to go and I am certainly looking forward to my next progression!

Final Indulgence....I Love It!!!

Join Me In The Indulgence... Ha Ha

              Eat And Eat...Enjoy!!!!
I'll miss you my "food"..... *sob* sob*

The Editor - Indulging too

The editor happily indulge in her vege... vege power!!!!
(She's a vegetarian)

Every dinner we would share a plate full of boiled vegetables and half a plate of cooked vegatables. All thanks to the editor's choice of palate which helps to create a balance in my protein-cum-fats-rich diet. Remember your greenies!

SO Fat!!!! OMG!!!!

The time has come! Whilst I observe my bod every other day trying to spot even the slightest bulge on my "growing" frame, it was not until these shots did I finally feel triumphant you know what I mean! Although I did not meet my 85kg perfect-goal, this is the first time that I hit the 80kg mark. As I bid (ok, tentative) farewell to months of gastronomical paradise, I must say I am "grateful" and even proud that this space has given me the chance to share my results - big, round, apple-shaped that is! Now my second challenge has begun, may the moulding process unfold...

First National bodybuilding experience

I used to be only able to conjure up images of myself in a muscular physique as I was a pudgy kid. I loathed exercising back then and I (still) have a huge appetite. My teen years began my first “transformation” when I participated in various adrenaline-pumping extra-curricular activities such as the lion dance troupe and gym in my school, as well as Chinese martial arts which I found time for while studying for a private diploma. But nothing beats the joy and great sense of achievement I would personally experience when I won my first bodybuilding titles - second placing in weight category (Senior 60Kg Below) and first in Classic Bodybuilding 170cm & Below - at the 47th National Bodybuilding Championships.

This was the first time I had competed at the national level. While I work out regularly, the preparation journey was a strict regime of persistent training that involved challenging my limits and conscious dieting that entailed specially-made home-cooked comestible. Beneath the winning façade was nothing more than the age-old philosophy of hard work. This hard work will repeat itself as I will soon embark on my second attempt this 14 December for next year’s annual event. I am looking forward to the physical regime with one new addition – I am going to pen down the process herein with accompanying photographs every week. To be able to document my transformation and anticipation, to be able to share my upcoming arduous journey with everyone is certainly motivating for me!

I will always remember 2009 as the year of milestones and self-discovery as I seek to explore greater physical and mental challenges, in my pursuit of the bodybuilding dream.
